Independence Day Parade-Ocean Grove
On May 1, 2025, Jersey Shore Blue participated in the Ocean Grove Independence Parade carrying our message “We Raise our Flag for Justice.”
Our signs featured “Due Process for All”, “Save Academic Integrity” and “No Child should go Hungry.”

Champion the concept of due process for every individual, irrespective of their status
Highlight political attempts that threaten legal protections
Expose more members of our community to Jersey Shore Blue
Show that progressive ideals are vibrant and thriving in Monmouth County
What Happened
Members and supporters of Jersey Shore Blue leveraged this community event to demonstrate to parade-goers that there is a local grassroots organization promoting traditional American principles such as the rule of law, respect for everyone, and advocacy for the disadvantaged. We also underscored how individuals within the community can drive meaningful change.
Community Response
Numerous attendees conveyed their happiness at witnessing our message amidst these challenging times. Spectators at the parade applauded and expressed their gratitude for our bravery in standing up and speaking out.
Why It Matters
At a time when civil liberties are increasingly threatened by political extremism, this action reasserted a foundational principle of democracy: no one is above or beneath the law. Visibility remains a tool of peaceful protest and public accountability.
