Signs of Fascism-Asbury Park
On October 4, 2025, Jersey Shore Blue marched along the Asbury Park boardwalk showcasing our Signs of Fascism.
Examples included Voter Suppression, Denying Due Process, and Picking Cronies over Qualified Candidates.

What Happened
Our Jersey Shore Blue community aimed to create a visual presentation highlighting the signs of fascism to engage our neighbors in public spaces. We believe that impactful visuals remind us of our values and the need for vigilance against ideologies threatening our freedoms. Through artwork, we hope to foster meaningful discussions and awareness about the perils of fascism, inspiring active community participation in protecting our democratic principles.
Community Response
Spectators applauded, took photos, and thanked us for coming out today, expressing their appreciation for our presence and participation in the event. It was gratifying to see their enthusiasm and excitement. We interacted with several individuals who were eager to discuss the day's activities, creating a wonderful atmosphere of community and joy.
Why It Matters
In an era where authoritarian measures are increasingly jeopardizing civil liberties, this action reaffirmed an essential tenet of democracy: it is crucial to identify and oppose fascist tactics. Transparency continues to serve as a means of nonviolent protest and public oversight.
